Residential Retreats

In 2023 Los Olivos offered two residential retreats in the UK for the first time. In partnership with St Columba's House (Woking) we offered two special Easter retreats. Full details of the two events can be found below.

17-21 April 2023

The Art of Easter:

a visual journey with the risen Christ

An invitation to walk in the footsteps of the disciples who encountered the risen Christ for the first time. We will recall their stories, found in the gospels, and explore signs of new life and resurrection in our lives and the world around us through art, music, poetry, prayer and meditation. The retreat sessions will include a daily visual lectio divina, inspired by classic and contemporary paintings of the resurrection. Hosted and facilitated by Daniel Muñoz and Guy Wynter, the programme includes:

• Daily morning & night prayer, and closing Eucharist;

• Teaching input from Daniel Muñoz (Los Olivos Retreats);

• Personal free time to reflect and relax in the gardens;

• En-suite accommodation and full board at St. Columba’s House, Surrey.

• Arrive Monday afternoon - checkout Friday morning

• Price per person: £510 (shared) / £550 (single room)

Keeping faith in uncertain times:

lessons in hope for seasons of crisis

A weekend retreat exploring the wisdom of two inspirational Spanish mystics and spiritual teachers: Teresa of Avila and Maria de Salazar. Both women experienced great difficulties and challenges in their lives and ministries, and became examples of spiritual resilience, love and maturity to their community members and wider church and society. Their lessons in hope, faith and love can be a source of inspiration for us today. Hosted and facilitated by Daniel Muñoz and Guy Wynter, the programme includes:

• Daily morning & night prayer, and closing Eucharist;

• Teaching input from Daniel Muñoz (Los Olivos Retreats);

• Personal free time to reflect and relax in the gardens;

• En-suite accommodation and full board at St. Columba’s House, Surrey.
